MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE:

WE HAVE MADE SOME TENTATIVE STEPS TOWARDS ORGANISING SOME RUNS. (LISTED IN GREEN.) DISTANCES CAN BE LONGER THAN NORMAL AS WE WILL NOT BE SPENDING 2 TO 3 HOURS IN A PUB.

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM OTHER MEMBERS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. YOUR TASK IS LESS COMPLICATED AT THE MOMENT AS IT ONLY ENTAILS WORKING OUT A ROUTE AND STARTING POINT. TRYING TO ORGANISE A GROUP LUNCH WOULD BE TOO DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE AT THE MOMENT.  PLEASE CONTACT PETER LAWSON IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS OR NEED HELP.

MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO ATTEND THE RUNS ONLY IF THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE AND WE ASK EVERYONE TO JUST ACT WITH COMMON SENSE.

NEW YEARS DAY RUN 1st JANUARY 2021 Whilst we have no idea of what restrictions will be in place in the new year, we would hope it will still be possible to have a new years day run from Writtle Green. It is unlikely that we will be able to congregate in the church as in previous years nor indeed book a meal afterwards for such a large crowd as we assume some form of social distancing will still be in place. After more than 40 years  of holding this run without a break, it would be a terrible shame to have to cancel it. Depending on rules in place at the time, we think it may be possible to meet on the Green,  giving pleasure to the many locals who come to see us, and then enjoy a run, returning to the Green for our goodbyes.  Keep an eye on this page for confirmation as it will all depend on government rules in place at that time.                                                 REPEAT:   IF AND WHEN WE CAN GO AHEAD DEPENDS ON GOVERNMENT RULES AT THAT TIME. WE DO NOT WANT TO FALL FOUL OF THE LAW.
