Thursday 1st January Our traditional New Years Day run from Writtle Church meeting at 10am for departure about 11am for approximately 30 mile run to a lunch stop. This will be at the Angel Inn, Broomfield,

Wednesday 7th Suffolk Club night at The Greyhound, Ixworth

Thursday 15th Essex Club DAYTIME meeting at the Old Chelmsfordians. NB. Just for January and February we are trying out a daytime meeting from 12.15 to 3.15 pm. You’re welcome to bring your lunch with you or order a takeaway. Kitchen available to make a hot drink or heat your food . Bring your Austin if the weather is kind.

Saturday 17th Workshop Day. Back at normal location – Peter’s garage from 10am. Beware that the field for parking might be soft and muddy. Roger will be showing us how he restores the thread of the fuel inlet on Zenith carbs, a common cause of leaks and we’ll be recutting valve seats on a rebored block. Contact Peter Lawson. Wednesday 4th Suffolk Club night at The Greyhound, Ixworth

Wednesday 11th. Valentines Day run. Meet Blackmore Tearooms 10am for 11am departure. 30 to 35 mile run to the Green Man at Toot Hill for lunch. Contact Peter Lawson to book. Thursday 19th Essex club DAYTIME meeting 12.15 to 3.15pm at the Old Chelmsfordians AND a Run beforehand. Following a successful meeting in January it was suggested that those who wish to could meet somewhere beforehand in their A7s and then drive to the OC. NOTE: We will meet at Ingatesone Saddlery Centre, Main Rd, Margaretting CM4 0ES and depart about 11am. So arrive earlier if you want a coffee or to browse the shop. Alternatively you can just go direct to the OC. You’re welcome to bring your lunch with you or order a takeaway. Kitchen available to make a hot drink or heat your food .

Thursday 19th NOTE: Daytime meeting again 12.15 to 3.15 Essex and Suffolk Club Annual General Meeting at the Old Chelmsfordians. Please inform the committee if you would like to be nominated for a place on the committee and/or if you would like to stand as Chairman. Traditionally the Chairman remains in post for 2 years at a time. We are also looking for a new secretary.

Sunday 28th The 63rd National Austin Seven Rally at Beaulieu, Hampshire SO42 7ZN. This year’s featured models are Austin Seven Specials. Make a weekend of it and camp, caravan or book a B&B.

Friday 3rd to Monday 6th. Scottish Austin 7 Club’s 55th National Rally at Guildtown, Perthshire. Moved so as not to clash with Beaulieu. Change your oil after Beaulieu then make your way north!

Saturday 4th Somersham Wheelie Fun Day. Annual car show and family fun day. Display your car for free amongst a vast range of other vehicles at Somersham near Ipswich. Sunday 2nd Five Parishes Show at Peldon near Abberton. The organisers would love to have our cars on display again and as this is their 90th anniversary they are inviting the Triumph Owners Club too plus other classic cars. A great show for our club as the children always look forward to us giving them rides around the arena.
